Jets’ Breece Hall Posts Rhetorical Question in Protest of NFL Fine

Jets running back Breece Hall was hit with a $43,709 fine Saturday for “unnecessary roughness” against the Falcons in Week 13.

Hall, who caught a short pass in the flat, lowered his head while bracing for a tackle from Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell. While officials did not throw a flag on the play, the league found Hall’s action to be against NFL rules after Terrell was placed in concussion protocol.

The Jets star running back, who was hit with the league’s largest fine of the week, responded to the fine with several social media posts questioning the NFL’s decision.

Just two minutes after his first post, Breece referenced his 2022 season-ending ACL injury in response to another angle of the play.

A fine for a routine NFL play where an offensive player braces for impact by lowering his shoulder is the latest in host of bizarre fines handed out by the league this season.
