Saints and Giants Scuffle After Tommy DeVito Takes a Big Hit

Giants’ quarterback Tommy DeVito took a big hit just before halftime against the Saints, leading both teams to meet in a brief scuffle on the field.

The fracas broke out with less than a minute to play in the second quarter. As DeVito scrambled to pick up some yards and get his team in better field goal range, he was met by Saints’ corner Isaac Yiadom, who delivered a big hit that sent DeVito sprawling.

Players from both teams got in each others’ faces as tensions hit a high point. DeVito was taken to the blue medical tent to be examined.

After his brief stay in the medical tent, DeVito jogged to the Giants’ locker room a bit early for further evaluation, leaving backup Tyrod Taylor to finish out the drive.

The Giants were able to get a field goal on that drive, cutting the Saints’ lead to 7-6 before halftime.
