Lions Trolled Rams and Superfan Bryan Cranston With Savage ‘Breaking Bad’ Tweet After Win

The Detroit Lions finally broke their historic playoff drought Sunday with a win over the Los Angeles Rams—their first postseason victory since Jan. 5, 1992. Afterward, the Lions’ social media crew decided to rub some salt in the wound for the Rams and one of their A-list superfans.

After the 24–23 win, the Lions posted a screenshot from the iconic Breaking Bad television series in which Bryan Cranston’s character, Walter White, delivers a chilling “I won” message to his wife after killing one of his enemies. Cranston, who won six Emmys for his performance during the show’s run, is a diehard Rams fan.

The Lions quote-tweeted a message from Cranston, who was in attendance at Ford Field, that didn’t age well.

“Bryan Cranston here on the sidelines of the Lions vs. the Rams!” Cranston said in the post. “And just like in the wildlife, when Rams see Lions out about they think they look friendly. Go Rams.”

The Lions will play host to the winner of Monday’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 3 p.m. ET Sunday. The television broadcast will be on NBC and Peacock.
