Cameras Caught Odell Beckham Jr. Comforting An Emotional Lamar Jackson After Ravens’ Loss

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens fell short of clinching a Super Bowl berth, losing 17–10 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship on Sunday.

In the waning moments of the game, just after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected on a deep pass with wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling in order to seal Kansas City’s victory, an emotional Jackson could be seen watching on in disappointment.

Veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was leaning over the Ravens quarterback and offering him some words of encouragement following a crushing loss. Jackson could be seen nodding slightly as Beckham spoke directly into his ear while the game clock continued to tick down.

Baltimore had its chances throughout the game but some costly turnovers, including two in the end zone, ultimately led to the Chiefs’ 17-10 win. Rookie receiver Zay Flowers fumbled a would-be touchdown out of the end zone during the fourth quarter, and on the following drive, Jackson threw an interception in the end zone.

The loss leaves Jackson still in search of his first appearance in the Super Bowl. At least he received some meaningful guidance from Beckham after what was a difficult loss to swallow.
