Welcome to the countdown of the NFL’s 50 most influential teams here at Sports Illustrated. Our staff, along with a 31-person panel consisting of media members, analysts, former front office personnel and more, embarked on the journey to finding out which teams will forever be defined by their impact.

With over 2,300 teams to choose from that have competed in the 104-year history of professional football, it was no easy task.
