NFL Network Host Dropped Savage One-Liner on Jets’ Aaron Rodgers After RFK VP Report

Aaron Rodgers is apparently pondering a future in politics.

The New York Times reported Tuesday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had approached the New York Jets quarterback to potentially be his running mate on the independent presidential ticket this upcoming election.

That storyline was briefly discussed Tuesday on the NFL Network amid a hectic day of free agency. And reporter Andrew Siciliano didn’t hold back.

“As long as he’s not Surgeon General,” Siciliano said, getting laughs from his reporter peers.

The surgeon general oversees the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and is the leading spokesperson on matters of public health.

Along with Rodgers, former professional wrestler Jesse Ventura is also a reported candidate to be Robert F. Kennedy’s running mate next fall.

For now, Rodgers is set to return as the Jets’ starting quarterback after his debut campaign ended when he tore his Achilles tendon just four plays into the season.
