Joe Mixon Posts Message to Stefon Diggs After Bills–Texans Blockbuster Trade

The Houston Texans have been busy during the offseason, fortifying the offense as they look to provide more weapons for quarterback C.J. Stroud in his second season.

After acquiring Stefon Diggs in a blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday, the star wide receiver was quickly welcomed to town by his new teammate and a fellow first-time member of the Texans: running back Joe Mixon. Mixon reached out to Diggs on social media, celebrating Houston's latest A-list addition to the offense.

"@stefondiggs just a few weeks ago you asked and we delivered," wrote Mixon. "Now let’s go get these’s [rings]."

Mixon signed a three-year deal with Houston worth $25 million, including $13 million in guaranteed money, after he was acquired in an offseason trade with the Cincinnati Bengals. He'd spent the previous seven seasons with the Bengals, where he featured in 98 games and scored 62 total touchdowns.

Mixon made immediately clear that he's expecting the Texans to compete for a Super Bowl this season, as the addition of Diggs gives the team one of the most loaded receiving corps in the league. Diggs figures to line up alongside Nico Collins and Tank Dell, both of whom enjoyed excellent seasons in 2023, providing Stroud plenty of talent to throw to.
