Patrick Mahomes, Josh Hart, Sports World Share Hilarious Reactions to 2024 Solar Eclipse

Winning the Lombardi trophy or an NCAA championship may feel like a once-in-a-lifetime event, but Monday’s solar eclipse puts those experiences into perspective.
Many of the nation’s biggest sports stars came out to witness the 2024 solar eclipse, the first total solar eclipse visible in North America since 2017. Though a total solar eclipse occurs every one to three years somewhere around the globe, those visible from the United States tend to be much rarer; the next total solar eclipse won’t occur in the contiguous U.S. until 2044.
This year’s eclipse arced across big-time sports cities from Dallas to Cleveland to Buffalo, spawning a wide gamut of social media posts from notable athletes—as well as raising awareness for the importance of wearing special solar eclipse glasses.
