Another coach on the San Francisco 49ers is garnering interest for a vacancy on another team.

This time it is passing game coordinator Klint Kubiak. The Chicago Bears are planning to interview Kubiak for their vacant offensive coordinator position, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. 

As usual, the 49ers are a coaching factory that other teams want to poach from. It never fails around this time every year for the last four years. Kubiak joins defensive coordinator Steve Wilks as a coach who could potentially be on the way out. It's quite a coincidence that both of them are in their first year with the 49ers as well. All a coach needs to do if they want to find a promotion down the line is join up with them.

Prior to signing on with the 49ers this season, Kubiak was with the Denver Broncos as their offensive passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach for one season. It was his second stint with the team. Before that, he was with the Minnesota Vikings as a quarterbacks coach and then offensive coordinator in his final year from 2019-to-2022.

I suspect that Kubiak would take this position if he desires to call plays next year. That is never going to happen so long as he is with the 49ers since that is Kyle Shanahan's baby. So, unless he wants to wait and continue to build himself, then the Bears are his best bet right now until another team requests to interview him. I would advise that it is better to wait it out since Chicago is a train wreck.
