Adam Schefter has jokes.

The ESPN NFL insider traded in his proverbial football cleats for basketball shorts on Sunday afternoon, as he transcribed the full order of the NBA draft lottery in a post onto his account on X, formerly Twitter.

The Atlanta Hawks, who had just a 3% chance of securing the first pick, did so for the first time in franchise history, prompting Schefter to make an amusing joke about the Atlanta Falcons.

"Atlanta is not expected to take another quarterback," Schefter wrote on X.

Schefter is referring to the Falcons' peculiar selection of Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth pick in April's NFL draft just one month after they inked free agent QB Kirk Cousins to a $180 million contract.

NFL fans loved the joke.

Well done by Schefter.
