Former Bears defensive end Robert Quinn has been arrested in South Carolina on charges of hit and run and assault, according to TMZ and WCSC-TV.

Quinn, who set the Bears single-season record for sacks in 2021 with 18 1/2, was reported to have crashed into five vehicles, a light post and a gate, before leaving the scene in Summerville. The crash was reported to have occurred on Tuesday and he was booked at Dorchester County Jail after police responded to a call at 7 p.m.

The report said Quinn faces seven total charges as a result of the incident.

ESPN has reported an arrest affidavit said the vehicle's owners told an officer she was assaulted by Quinn.

Quinn reportedly fled the scene and was identified from video and South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles records.

Quinn, 33, is a free agent. He was traded by the Bears to Philadelphia in the middle of last season and finished up with the Eagles. Quinn's career high was 19 sacks with the Rams in 2013. He has played for the Dolphins and Cowboys, as well.

In 2020, former Bears GM Ryan Pace signed him to a five-year, $70 million deal and he was with the Bears 2 1/2 seasons. He had two sacks in 2020 and one in 2022 for the Bears.
