Report: Tom Brady Led Buccaneers to Super Bowl LV Win Despite Dealing With Torn MCL
CINCINNATI — Tom Brady is a legend. The soon-to-be 43-year-old is a seven-time Super Bowl champion following the Buccaneers' blowout win over the Chiefs in February.
It turns out ring number seven was even harder than it looked. Brady played through a torn left MCL according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports Brady suffered the injury in his final season with the Patriots.
His knee got worse as the 2020 season continued, but he found a way to stay on the field and help the Buccaneers win their second Super Bowl title.
Brady had surgery in February to fix the issue. He's expected to be fully healthy for the start of the 2021 season.
