Watch: Legendary Patriots Strategist Tells Story on Joe Burrow's Football Mentality
Ernie Adams was Bill Belichick's right-hand man for years.
CINCINNATI — Former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman brought legendary Patriots’ football research director Ernie Adams onto his podcast recently and Adams had some high praise for Joe Burrow.
He's just the epitome of a football player to Adams after Burrow described himself playing linebacker at Athens High School in the state championship game.
"The one I remember was Joe Burrow's state championship game in Ohio came down to a goal-line stand and he was the linebacker," Adams said on Games With Names. "Hey, right here this is my kinda guy, he's a football player."
Bengals fans surely don't want to see Burrow lined up behind defensive tackles anytime soon, but another trip to a championship would be just fine.
