Bills vs. Jaguars London Game: Time & Date Officially Set

The NFL has begun its schedule release with this year's international games, and the Buffalo Bills will take part in one of them

Ahead of the full schedule release on Thursday, the NFL announced its slate of international games Wednesday morning. With that announcement, the Buffalo Bills have their first officially scheduled game for the 2023 season.

In Week 5, the Bills will travel across the pond to face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The game is set to kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 8. This date had been leaked before, but is now officially confirmed.

This will be just the second game the Bills have played in London since the NFL began hosting games there in 2007. Their previous game was coincidentally also against the Jaguars, a 34-31 loss at Wembly Stadium on Oct. 25, 2015.

Buffalo has played more games outside of the U.S., but they were not officially part of the NFL International Series. The Bills played a game at Rogers Centre in Toronto each season from 2008 to 2013, going just 1-5 in those games. They also played two preseason games there in 2008 and 2010, winning both of them. The Bills Toronto Series was originally scheduled to continue through 2017, but multiple factors led to a premature end.

For the Jaguars, this will be the second-consecutive game they play in London. They will also face the Atlanta Falcons at Wembly Stadium one week earlier on Oct. 1. Jacksonville has played the most games in London of any team by far with nine of them prior to this season. Notably, the Jaguars' game against the Bills will mark the first time they've been the "away" team in London.

There is also a third London Game set for this season, with the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans facing off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 15. The league will also host two games at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany, first featuring the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 5, then the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots on Nov. 12.

The Bills and other teams will know the rest of their schedules come Thursday night.
