Bills WR Stefon Diggs: Safe to 'Assume' Drama Isn't Over?

As the Buffalo Bills prepare for the 2023 season, Sports Illustrated speculates that Stefon Diggs is still mad about how last season ended.

No one likes to lose games, especially in the playoffs. When those playoff losses start to stack on top of each other, like they have for the Buffalo Bills, it can be easy to get frustrated. After all, these are world-class athletes that are hyper-competitive.

That being said, those playoff losses tend to be wiped away mentally as teams prepare for the next season. The sting doesn't go away, but at some point you must move on.

But unless you're Stefon Diggs, apparently. According to Sports Illustrated, the biggest lesson learned so far this offseason in Buffalo revolves around his feelings about the playoff loss.

"Whatever is going on with Diggs and the Bills probably goes back to Diggs’s expressing his frustrations on the sideline during the shellacking they took from the Bengals in the 2022 divisional round," Sports Illustrated writes

After skipping out on voluntary offseason workout and missing the first day of mandatory minicamp, Diggs caused a major stir that had coach Sean McDermott "very concerned" before showing up for the second day of minicamp and high-fiving his teammates in the process.

But there could be something that continues to go on behind closed doors.

"We all just assumed things were fine because the offseason came and went with Diggs still on the roster, but obviously, something isn’t sitting right with the All-Pro wideout," SI wrote.

Yes, Diggs is likely still upset to some extent about the playoff loss. The Bills have now lost in the playoffs for four straight seasons, consistently coming up just short of getting over the hump and earning a Super Bowl berth.

Ultimately, though, there is likely little to no reason to be concerned over Diggs' actions this offseason. He is still on the roster and will be once the season rolls around, ready to help the Bills seek another AFC East crown and first Super Bowl win in franchise history.
