Bills Issues with Diggs, DeAndre & Dorsey? 'A Lot of That Is Wrong!' - Ian Rapoport

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, there is plenty of misinformation surrounding the situation between the Buffalo Bills and receiver Stefon Diggs

The Buffalo Bills and receiver Stefon Diggs have been the talk of the NFL over the last week or so, and not in a good way.

The situation began on June 13, when Diggs was not present for the first day of the Bills' mandatory minicamp. Bills coach Sean McDermott said he was "very concerned" about Diggs' absence, but the receiver's agent insisted everything was OK. Even with Diggs returning to camp the next day, several conflicting reports about the reason for his absence have emerged in the following days.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, though, most of those reports don't hold water. The NFL Network insider recently appeared on the channel to debunk some common myths surrounding the situation between Diggs and the Bills.

"I need to be completely honest, a lot of that speculation about the role of Ken Dorsey, the offensive coordinator, about DeAndre Hopkins and whether or not Diggs adjusts his contract for that, a lot of that is wrong. Actually I'd say most of it is wrong," Rapoport said

As for the actual reason for Diggs' absence, Rapoport believes it has to do with frustration over his role in the offense. The insider specifically points to comments made by quarterback Josh Allen about how he and the Bills can do certain things differently to better appeal to Diggs.

"First of all, Allen said himself that there are things that he can do better," Rapoport said. "Of course, to get Diggs, one of the best receivers in the NFL, the ball certainly would not hurt. He [Allen] talked about the way communication should be better and he said simply, this thing does not work without Diggs."

There is good news for Bills fans, though, as Rapoport believes there is "no doubt" the situation will be resolved before the season begins.

The entire situation with Diggs is truly strange, but it now seems to have a bit more clarity with reports from Rapoport and others.
