Bills Mock Draft: Buffalo Strengthens Defensive Front, Picks DL Bryan Bresee:

Already boasting a strong defensive front, the Buffalo Bills get even stronger up front with the addition of Bryan Bresee in this mock.

Despite only having six picks in the upcoming NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills still find themselves in a strong position. With an MVP candidate at quarterback in Josh Allen, paired with an elite offense and defense, the Bills enter the draft sitting pretty with their current roster.

However, since the Bills do only have six picks, those selections become important. One wrong pick won't ruin their future, but with such limited draft capital, they likely can't afford too many misses.

This makes them an intriguing team to look at in mock drafts as there is multiple routes they can go with their first-round pick. In the latest mock draft from CBS Sports, the Bills bolster their defensive front and take defensive lineman Bryan Bresee out of Clemson.

"When healthy, there are few players with Bryan Bresee's combination of size and athleticism," CBS wrote. "The problem is he hasn't been on the field as much as you'd like him to be in recent years.

"Still, he's the kind of talent worth taking a shot on late in the first and would be an excellent addition to Buffalo's rotation up front."

The injury concerns for Bresee are worth pointing out, as he appeared in only four games as a sophomore in 2021 before tearing his ACL. He appeared in 10 games in 2022 but missed time once again, this time due to a kidney infection.

Injury issues aside, Bresee has shown that he can be a game-changer on defense if he's healthy. In 28 games over three seasons at Clemson, Bresee recorded 51 total tackles with 15 tackles for loss and nine sacks, showing an ability to get into the backfield and bring down the quarterback.

Of course the Bills aren't exactly hurting for talent on defense, coming off a season which saw them hold opponents to 17.9 points per game on 300.4 yards of total offense. Adding Bresee, though, could help them bolster their defensive front while allowing him to ease his way into the NFL.
