MARCH 8 BILLS RE-SIGN MORRIS The Buffalo Bills are securing their depth at tight end for 2024 early in the offseason.
Buffalo announced Friday that it has re-signed tight end Quintin Morris to a one-year deal. He'll once again be the TE3 on the roster behind Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox.
Morris appeared in 15 games this past season and caught two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown. In two seasons with the Bills, he's tallied 10 catches for 110 yards and two scores.
MARCH 6 BILLS ROSTER MOVES The Buffalo Bills are staying busy on Wednesday as the new league year approaches.
After cutting safety Jordan Poyer and making other notable moves, the Bills are cutting defensive back Siran Neal as well, per reports from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
“More clearing cap space for the Bills: They are releasing DB Siran Neal, source said, who was due nearly $3M in base salary this season,” Rapoport tweeted.
MARCH 4 BILLS, BEARS MAKE TRADE The Buffalo Bills are making a notable move ahead of the new league year.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bills have traded offensive lineman Ryan Bates to the Chicago Bears. Buffalo will receive a future fifth-round pick in return/
"Bills announced they agreed to terms on a trade to send OL Ryan Bates to Chicago in exchange for a 2024 5th-round pick. The trade will become official on March 13, pending a physical," Schefter tweeted.
FEB 11 O.J. MAKES HIS SUPER BOWL PICK Buffalo Bills legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson was reportedly recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, but is continuing to live it up at his home in Las Vegas ahead of today's Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.
He shared his Super Bowl prediction on X (formerly Twitter) prior to the game while also providing a breif health update. For Simpson, the decision was pretty simple.
"I’m from the Bay and I’m going with Bay!!! Lets go @49ers" Simpson wrote in the tweet.

JAN 28 BILLS EX KEN DORSEY HIRED BY BROWNS Former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey has found a new home in the NFL after being fired following a Week 10 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Per reports from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns are hiring Dorsey to be the next offensive coordinator under head coach Kevin Stefanski.
"Cleveland has a new coordinator: Browns are hiring former Bills’ offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey as their offensive coordinator, per sources." Schefter tweeted.
The news comes just a few hours after the Bills named Joe Brady the full-time offensive coordinator, removing his interim tag. He took over for Dorsey and helped lead the Bills to a 7-2 record (including playoffs) after the firing.
JAN 26 BILLS LBs COACH REQUESTED BY DOLPHINS The Buffalo Bills could potentially be losing one of their key defensive assistants within the division.
Per reports from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Miami Dolphins have requested to interview Bills linebackers coach Bobby Babich for their vacancy at defensive coordinator. Miami and veteran defensive play-caller Vic Fangio parted ways on Wednesday.
Babich was also requested by the Green Bay Packers and has already interviewed with the New York Giants. With a clear career upgrade in his sights, it's hard to imagine Buffalo keeping Babich on staff for next season.
JAN 21 TAYLOR CELEBRATES TRAVIS TD "Touchdown, Travis Kelce!" is a phrase that hasn't been uttered since Week 11 of the regular season, but that all changed late in the second quarter in the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Buffalo Bills.
Kelce caught a 22-yard touchdown from Patrick Mahomes to go up 13-10, and his girlfriend Taylor Swift celebrated in her suite.
JAN 6 MITCH MORSE OFF INJURY REPORT After being listed as questionable when the Buffalo Bills released their game statuses on Friday, the team announced that Mitch Morse is no longer on the injury report and will be good to play on Sunday.
Morse was on the injury report due to an illness that forced him to miss practice on Friday. With Morse now without an injury designation, no player on the Bills (10-6) enters the must-win matchup with the Miami Dolphins with a listed ailment.
For Miami (11-5), cornerback Xavien Howard (foot) has been ruled out, while linebacker Jerome Baker (knee), receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) and running back Raheem Mostert (knee and ankle) are questionable.

JAN 5 JOSH ALLEN WILL PLAY VS. DOLPHINS Any potential doubts about Josh Allen's status on Sunday vs. the Miami Dolphins were put to rest by Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott.
McDermott went on WGR550 on Friday and said that Allen will be "ready to go on Sunday night." Allen has dealt with a neck and right finger injury that has landed him on the injury report throughout the week, though he has been a full participant. The Bills (10-6) quarterback completed 21 of 25 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns in their 48-20 win over the Dolphins (11-5) in Week 4.
McDermott also said Buffalo center Mitch Morse will miss practice on Friday due to an illness. Morse is officially listed as questionable.

JAN 1 DOLPHINS' BRADLEY CHUBB OUT VS. BILLS The Miami Dolphins will be without one of their best defensive players for the biggest game of the season.
Dolphins (11-5) outside linebacker Bradley Chubb tore his ACL on Sunday in the Dolphins' 56-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. The injury came late in the fourth quarter with the game already well-decided.
Chubb leads the Dolphins with 11 sacks and 22 tackles for loss. Miami had already lost fellow outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips for the season after he tore his Achilles on Nov. 24. Phillips had 6.5 sacks before suffering the injury.
Buffalo (10-6) faces Miami for the AFC East crown on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium.
DEC 31 VON OUT VS. PATS Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller is among the inactives for the team today against the New England Patriots despite not being on the injury report.
Per NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Miller is a healthy scratch for today's game.
Miller, 34, has just three tackles this season for the Bills in 11 games, none of which he has started - and it seems the bottom line here is about his relative ineffectiveness.
Miller joins cornerbacks Damar Hamlin, Kaiir Elam, offensive lineman Alec Anderson and nose tackle Linval Joseph among the team's inactives.

DEC 29 MICAH HYDE, DAQUAN JONES ACTIVE FOR BILLS With a shot to clinch a fifth-straight playoff berth, the Buffalo Bills defense will be getting some reinforcements.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced that safety Micah Hyde and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones will be active on Sunday vs. the New England Patriots. Hyde had missed the last two games with a stinger, while Jones has been out since Week 6 with a pectoral injury. Jones will have to be activated off the Injured reserve before Sunday to be able to play.
Defensive end A.J. Epenesa could return after missing a game with a rib injury. McDermott said the team will make a decision on his status after practice on Friday.

DEC 27 BILLS ACTIVATE KAIIR ELAM OFF INJURED RESERVE After practicing fully throughout last week, second-year cornerback Kaiir Elam was activated off the injured reserve on Wednesday.
Elam was questionable heading into Saturday vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.
Elam had missed the Bills' (9-6) last seven games due to an ankle injury that landed him on the IR on Nov. 2. Elam was designated to return and had his practice window opened on Dec. 6.
The 2022 first-round pick has played in just three games this season. Elam was inactive for five of Buffalo's first seven games before the ankle injury.

DEC 19 BILLS OPEN PRACTICE WINDOW FOR DAQUAN JONES Reinforcements could be near for the Buffalo Bills' defense.
Head coach Sean McDermott announced on Tuesday that the team has opened the 21-day practice window for defensive tackle DaQuan Jones. Jones had been on the injured reserve due to a pectoral injury that he suffered in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Before the injury, Jones had 2.5 sacks, 3 tackles-for-loss and 5 quarterback hits.
Buffalo (8-6) will look to extend its winning streak to three when they face the Los Angeles Chargers (5-9) on Saturday at SoFi Stadium at 8 p.m. ET.
DEC 17 GOT 'EM Despite their dominant 31-10 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills still have a ton of work to do before celebrating a trip to the postseason.
However, the Bills' social media team is using the big win as an opportunity to poke fun at the Cowboys, a franchise that seems to always be at the center of jokes from opposing fans.
After the game, the Bills X account used the classic "everything is bigger in Texas" saying to make fun of the big "L" that the Cowboys just took. DEC 15 BILLS RULE OUT TWO Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott said Friday that safety Micah Hyde (stinger) and defensive end A.J. Epenesa (rib) are both out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Hyde has dealt with the stinger issue for a few weeks, but appeared to re-aggravate it in the 20-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14. Epenesa exited due to injury against the Chiefs as well after he had made an incredible interception of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first quarter.
McDermott said that IR could be a likely destination for both players.

DEC 14 EPENESA, HYDE MISS PRACTICE AGAIN The Buffalo Bills could be down two of their top defenders this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys.

Cornerback Taron Johnson (ankle) and tight end Dalton Kincaid (thumb, shoulder) were limited for the second straight day.
DEC 11 AFC EAST UP FOR GRABS? The Buffalo Bills got some help from the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.
The Titans (5-8) pulled off an incredible fourth-quarter comeback over Buffalo’s AFC East rival Miami Dolphins (9-4) to secure a 28-27 road win.
Miami’s loss helps the Bills’ chances at not only securing a playoff spot, but potentially sneaking into the lead for the AFC East come season’s end.
The Bills beat the Dolphins 48-20 in Week 4, and will be hoping for a similar result when Buffalo visits Miami in Week 18.
Of course, the Bills will still likely need to win out and could use some help around the league in hopes of having other 7-6 take some losses. But for now, Buffalo is in solid position to make a heck of a late-season turnaround.
DEC 10 JOSH TO JAMES The Buffalo Bills have taken an early lead in Sunday's meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead.
After going four-and-out on their first drive, the Bills quickly got the ball back and used a six-play, 53-yard drive to score the game's first points, as Josh Allen found running back James Cook wide open down the seam for a 25-yard touchdown.

DEC 9 BILLS ROSTER MOVES The Buffalo Bills have made some key roster moves ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead.
The Bills have elevated tight end Dawson Knox from injured reserve after he missed the past five games due to a wrist injury. This season, he's posted 15 catches for 102 yards and one touchdown.

DEC 6 BILLS COULD OPEN 2024 IN BRAZIL The NFL could look to expand its international audience, and Brazil may be next on the map.
ESPN reporter John Sutcliffe is reporting that the Miami Dolphins could open their 2024 season in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
While the schedule for 2024 won't be released until May, the Dolphins play the Buffalo Bills twice each year, and they could be the opposing team for Miami in that potential Brazil game.
DEC 3 DOLPHINS EXTEND AFC EAST LEAD The Buffalo Bills are now officially three games back in the AFC East as the Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Commanders 45-15 on Sunday.
This means the Bills are going to have to find a way to gain two games on the Dolphins over the next four games to give themselves a chance to beat Miami and win the division in Week 18.

NOV 29 SALGADO HIRED A former member of the Buffalo Bills coaching staff is back in the NFL.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Washington Commanders have hired defensive backs coach Jim Salgado, who coached with the Bills under Sean McDermott from 2017-23.
In March, Salgado returned to the college ranks to join the Michigan State Spartans staff. But now, after Mel Tucker was fired, Salgado needed a new job, and finds a home with the Commanders for the final weeks of the NFL season.
NOV 27 REICH FIRED The NFL has a new head coach opening on Monday after the Carolina Panthers fired Frank Reich following a 1-10 start.
Reich was hired by the Panthers in the offseason after the Indianapolis Colts fired him.
During his 13-year career as a quarterback, Reich played 93 games with the Buffalo Bills from 1985-94, including two playoff games in 1992. He led the Bills to a comeback victory in the 1992 Wild Card after trailing 35-3 to the Houston Oilers.
NOV 26 JOSH ALLEN AGAIN Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is having one of his best games of the season on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
He put Buffalo up in front by 10 at 24-14 in the third quarter thanks to his second rushing touchdown of the game.

NOV 25 SAUCE GARDNER FINED FOR TACKLE ON STEFON DIGGS An already tough loss just became a little tougher for New York Jets cornerback Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner.
The second-year cornerback was fined $10,927 for his tackle against Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs. The tackle drew a flag for unnecessary roughness.

NOV 24 DOLPHINS BEAT JETS ON BLACK FRIDAY The Miami Dolphins are pulling ahead in the AFC East following their 34-13 win on Friday afternoon against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
The Dolphins are now 8-3, a full two games ahead of the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills will have a chance to inch closer to the top team in the division on Sunday when they face the Philadelphia Eagles. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET.
NOV 20 ZACH WILSON BENCHED AFTER BILLS GAME The New York Jets lost 32-6 against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and feel the need to make a change at quarterback.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Jets will start Tim Boyle at quarterback for their next game on Friday against the Miami Dolphins.
Boyle relieved Wilson in Sunday's game and completed 7 of 14 passes for 33 yards and an interception. Wilson had a similar stat line with 7 completions on 15 attempts for 81 yards, a touchdown and a pick.
NOV 13 JAMES COOK CRAZY PLAY Buffalo Bills running back James Cook started Monday night's game against the Denver Broncos with a fumble on the opening play. It marked only the second fumble of his career, and it looked like he had his third on a crucial drive in the fourth quarter.
Instead, it turned into one of the luckiest plays you'll see.
Cook was stripped of the ball by Denver safety Justin Simmons as he was about to break into the secondary. But instead of a Broncos recovery, the ball bounced off the turf and right back into Cook's hands, who continued running before being tackled on a 42-yard run.

NOV 11 BILLS VS BRONCOS INJURY REPORT The Buffalo Bills have revealed their final injury report ahead of Monday's meeting with the Denver Broncos at Highmark Stadium.
Buffalo has ruled out safety Micah Hyde (neck/stinger) and cornerback Christian Benford (hamstring) for the contest. Starting linebacker Terrel Bernard is questionable with a concussion.
Bills star receiver Stefon Diggs, who popped up on the Friday injury report with a back issue, was limited on Friday and Saturday. However, he does not carry an injury designation headed into Monday, and told reporters that he's "100%" ready.

NOV 5 MICAH HYDE INJURED The Buffalo Bills announced that safety Micah Hyde is questionable to return to the fourth quarter of Sunday night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium due to a stinger.
Hyde landed hard on the turf while defending a pass to Ja'Marr Chase earlier in the game. He also took a blindside hit from Bengals offensive lineman Cordell Volson as a play was winding down, though Volson wasn't flagged.
Hyde had to be helped off the field afterwards and was in visible pain on the sidelines.

NOV 3 JOSH ALLEN TO PLAY VS. CINCINNATI BENGALS After appearing earlier this week on the injury report, head coach Sean McDermott announced on WGR550 that Josh Allen will play on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium.
Allen didn't practice on Wednesday because of his right shoulder, then was a full participant on Thursday, quelling much doubt that he'd be out on Sunday.
McDermott also announced that Damar Hamlin (illness) and Quinton Morris (ankle) are trending in the right direction after being full participants in practice on Thursday, while linebacker Baylon Spector (hamstring) and A.J. Klein are out for the game.
The Bills (5-3) face the Bengals (4-3) on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET.
NOV 2 JOSH ALLEN, DAMAR HAMLIN FULL PRACTICE Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was a full participant at Thursday's practice after being listed as DNP on Wednesday due to a injury on his throwing shoulder.
Allen injured his shoulder in Week 8's 24-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but didn't miss an offensive snap en route to going 31 of 40 passing for 324 yards, two touchdowns and one pick.
Damar Hamlin, who will be making his triumphant return to Cincinnati, was also a full go at practice after missing Wednesday due to illness.

OCT 31 BUFFALO BILLS CONNECTED TO JAYLON JOHNSON With numerous injuries ravaging the Buffalo Bills' defense, they could look to add another difference maker not just for the rest of this season, but for the future as well.
The Buffalo Bills are rumored to be one of the teams interested in Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson by Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz. Johnson is in the final year of his rookie contract and talks about a contract extension have gotten to the point where he's been allowed to seek a trade. The San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers are also reported by Schultz to be in play for the young cornerback.
Johnson, 24, has two interceptions through six games this season and his play has earned him a grade of 84.4 from Pro Football Focus.
With Tre'Davious White out for the season due to a torn achilles, Johnson could step in and become cornerstone piece on the Bills defense for the future if traded to Buffalo.
OCT 26 JOSH ALLEN IN BLUE TENT Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen went into the blue medical tent on the sideline during the first half of Thursday night's home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It's unclear what he was being checked for, as the Bills didn't announce an official injury in the first half. However, Amazon Prime sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung pointed out that Allen was not lifting his right arm much on the sideline, but Bills coach Sean McDermott said "he's fine" when asked about it during the halftime interview.
Backup quarterback Kyle Allen was seen warming up on the sideline, but Josh Allen eventually exited the tent and began Buffalo's fourth possession of the first half.
The Bills lead 17-10 in the third quarter.
OCT 26 BILLS BETTING FAVORITES VS. BUCS The Buffalo Bills are getting ready for battle tonight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and sportsbooks like their chances.
SI Sportsbook lists the Bills as an 8.5-point favorite just hours before kickoff.

OCT 23 DORSEY VOTE OF CONFIDENCE? It is sometimes called "a dreaded vote of confidence.'' And when we listen to Bills coach Sean McDermott dissect his team's 29-25 loss to the lowly Patriots on Sunday in NFL Week 7, we wonder if what he's saying about offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey comes under the heading of "dreaded.''
"I oversee all three phases, we have communication across all three phases,'' McDermott said, speaking generally about where the 4-3 Bills are. "Collectively, we need to continue to find answers.''
And specifically, about Dorsey? McDermott at the very least did not seem at great ease with the line of questioning.
"Yeah,'' he said. "I'm confident, confident in Ken."
This does mark three straight subpar performances for Buffalo; Bills Mafia has reason to be concerned, and the coaching staff has reason to be under fire, as it was even going into the game, when McDermott was asked about what chance there was of him changing play-callers.
"Zero,” he said flatly. ... surely knowing that while the line of questioning can be easily dismissed, the concerns can not.
OCT 20 BUFFALO BILLS RULE THREE PLAYERS OUT FOR SUNDAY Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has ruled out defensive tackle Ed Oliver, tight end Quintin Morris and running back Damien Harris for Sunday.
Oliver is dealing with a toe injury, while Morris has an ankle injury. Harris is recovering from a neck injury along with a concussion that he suffered on Sunday and had to be driven off of the field in an ambulance.
Morris, Harris and Oliver were the only three players that didn't practice throughout the week.
Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid is set to return after being out against the New York Giants with a concussion.
The Bills face the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
OCT 19 THURSDAY INJURY REPORT Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is limited in practice for the second straight day with a shoulder injury.
Given Allen's participation, signs look good towards him playing Sunday, but there is still some caution being used.
The Bills are relatively healthy going into this weekend's game against the New England Patriots, with only running back Damien Harris (neck), defensive tackle Ed Oliver (toe) and tight end Quintin Morris (ankle) not practicing.
OCT 18 ALLEN ‘CONCERN’? Buffalo QB Josh Allen is among those scheduled to practice on Wednesday. But …
Coach Sean McDermott is not hiding from having some level of “concern” for Allen, who sustained a shoulder injury in the Week 6 win which was followed by x-rays.
McDermott indicated that he an Allen have good communication on how the QB is truly feeling about the issue, “Right now it’s a one-day-at-a-time approach. So we’ll see.”
But McDermott also added: “I'll know more a little bit after today … ( injuries are) always a concern. …”
OCT 16 REX RYAN COACHING BRONCOS?
Former Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan may find himself back in the NFL soon.
According to ESPN's Pat McAfee, the Denver Broncos could be looking to change their defensive coordinator, and Ryan could be in the mix.
Ryan coached the Buffalo Bills from 2015-16. He also has defensive coordinator experience with the Baltimore Ravens from 2005-08.

OCT 12 DANIEL JONES OUT VS BILLS The Buffalo Bills will not have to gameplan for New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones this Sunday.
Giants coach Brian Daboll said Friday that Jones' neck injury will keep him sidelined for Sunday night's contest at Highmark Stadium. He suffered the injury in New York's 31-16 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.
Jones has taken a beating this season behind a porous Giants (1-4) offensive line that has allowed 30 sacks, the most in the NFL.
With Jones is out, Buffalo (3-2) will face former quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who was the Bills starting quarterback from 2015 to 2017 and went 22-20 in that span. He helped lead Buffalo to its first playoff appearance since 1999.
Buffalo plays New York at Highmark Stadium on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET.

There's now some growing concern surrounding the availability of defensive end Greg Rousseau, as he's now missed back-to-back practices while dealing with a foot injury. The Bills could be getting Von Miller back, but the absence of Rousseau could be big. If he misses Friday's practice, it would seem unlikely that the young pass-rusher would suit up on Sunday.
OCT 3 RAMSEY SENDS WELL WISH TO WHITE Miami Dolphins defender Jalen Ramsey put aside divisional differences in a series of posts on X, ones that wished Sunday opponent Tre'Davious White well in the wake of a torn Achilles injury that he suffered in Sunday's win over Ramsey's Dolphins. Ramsey is likewise working off a long-term injury, having endured a knee ailment over the offseason.
"I hate injuries," Ramsey said while quoting a post referencing the White news posting his message next to emojis depicting disappointment and prayer. "Some elite corners with season-ending injuries I hate to see it for us. The game better with certain guys on that field, that’s just a fact. [sic]"
Though the Bills earned a crucial divisional victory over the Dolphins, there's no doubt that they'll miss the services of White, a two-time All-Pro who had three tackles and a pass breakup in the 48-20 win over South Beach.
OCT 1 SHAKIR INJURED Buffalo Bills receiver Khalil Shakir is being evaluated for a head injury after leaving late in the first half of Sunday's home game against the Miami Dolphins.
Shakir went deep for a pass by quarterback Josh Allen just after the two-minute warning, but could not make the catch and wound up injured on the play. According to the Buffalo News, Shakir went to the medical tent after the play.
The Bills lead the Dolphins 31-14 at halftime.
OCT 1 BENFORD INJURED Buffalo Bills cornerback Chrisitan Benford suffered an apparent shoulder injury in the second quarter of Sunday's meeting with the Miami Dolphins at Highmark Stadium.
He made a tackle on Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert, but then laid on the field for a bit before being replaced by Dane Jackson.
Per ESPN, Benford was helped to the locker room.
SEPT 29 BILLS FRIDAY INJURY REPORT The Buffalo Bills will be without one of their best players on defense when they host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at 1 p.m. Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced that safety Jordan Poyer will be out with a knee injury.
Buffalo cornerback Tre'Davious was the only other player who didn't practice on Friday, as he had a veteran rest day. He'll be good to play on Sunday.

SEPT 26 EPENESA 'HATES' TEAMMATES AFTER PAYING UP ON BET AFTER CAREER DAY Buffalo Bills defensinve end AJ Epenesa brightest football moment was followed by one of his darkest, albeit in good fun.
Epenesa was one of the headliners of the Bills' 37-3 victory over the Washington Commanders as part of Sunday's Week 3 action. The defender earned a sack of Sam Howell and also turned his first professional interception into a touchdown.
Sunday's showing likely helped Epenesa take his mind off his alma mater's disastrous outing in prime time: an Iowa alum, Epenesa had to watch his Hawkeyes harbor a 31-0 shellacking at the hands of the Penn State Nitanny Lions, a game that saw Iowa muster a mere 76 yards and four first downs.
Alas for Epenesa, Bills teammates Ryan Bates, Connor McGovern, and DaQuan Jones, as well as assistant equipment manager Austin Skobel weren't so forgiving, forcing Epenesa to fulfill his end of a friendly wager that depended on Saturday's result. Epenesa shared the result to his Instagram story, as he was forced to don the blue and white of Happy Valley. The defender included the famed PSU battle cry of "We Are" in his post, while profession his facetious hate for the Nitanny Lions' contingent.
Epenesa's Hawkeyes will look to get back on the right track on Saturday night when they continue Big Ten play against Michigan State at home (7:30 p.m. ET, NBC).
SEPT 20 ALLEN NAMED AFC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Josh Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player Of The Week after his dominant outing in the Buffalo Bills' 38-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The Bills quarterback has won the award 11 times in the last three seasons.
Allen completed 31 of 37 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns. Along with his efficiency, Allen's ability to take care of the ball and avoid turning the ball over was particularly encouraging after throwing three interceptions and losing a fumble in Week 1.
Allen and the Bills' offense will face a tough test in the Washington Commanders' (2-0) defense on Sunday at FedEx Field at 1 p.m. ET
SEPT 16 MILANO FINED Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano has been fined $10,927 for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty he committed in Monday's 22-16 loss to the New York Jets, per the NFL's weekly update of league-wide fines.
After intercepting Jets quarterback Zach Wilson in the second quarter of the contest, Milano got in Wilson's face at the end of the play and received a 15-yard penalty as a result.

Milano and the Bills will host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at Highmark Stadium.
SEPT. 15 BILLS REPORTER APOLOGIZES TO STEFON DIGGS - The damage has been done, but the reporter caught on a hot mic talking poorly about Bills' receiver Stefon Diggs has apologized. Maddy Glab, who writes for the team's official site, posted the apology to her Twitter.
"I should not have said what I said, and I apologize for that," Glab wrote. "Stef is not in the wrong, I am."
In the wake of the incident, both Diggs and his brother - Dallas Cowboys' cornerback Trevon - have responded.
Trevon suggested on Twitter that Stefon should force a trade out of Buffalo. The receiver said "the audio shared was very hurtful."
SEPT 11 RODGERS INJURY 'NOT GOOD' New York Jets coach Robert Salah took the podium after his team took down the Buffalo Bills 22-16 at MetLife Stadium on Monday night and quickly addressed the injury to star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
"Concerned with his Achilles, MRI is probably gonna confirm what we think is already gonna happen. So prayers tonight, but it's not good," Saleh said.
Rodgers exited the game in the first quarter on New York's first drive after being sacked by Leonard Floyd. He had to be helped off before a cart eventually got him from the sidelines.

SEPT 11 BILLS VS JETS DELAYED? The start of Monday night's matchup between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets could be in danger of being delayed from its original 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff time due to weather in the East Rutherford, N.J.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter. MetLife Stadium issued a "shelter in place" for players and personnel, meaning they can't take the field for any early warmups. The report came out about three hours prior to the game.
Schefter also tweeted a screenshot of a public safety alert issued to the surrounding area. Here's what it said:
"From New Jersey State Police. There is severe weather approaching. All patrons may seek shelter inside the stadium, inside your vehicles or the walk over bridge to American Dream. Please do not gather at entrances. Event staff are available to guide and assist you."
AUG 29 BILLS CUTS CONTINUE The Buffalo Bills are making their final cuts ahead of Tuesday's deadline. Aside from the ones we've already covered at Bills Central on SI.com, here's some of the other names that have failed to make the 53-man roster:

AUG 29 BILLS CUT TWO VETERANS Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, veteran blocker Dan Quessenberry is among the Bills' cuts. The 33-year-old played one season with Buffalo after nearly a decade between Houston and Tennessee. He was well-known for returning to NFL action in 2017 after a battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
The Bills also let go of offensive lineman Ike Boettger ahead of what would have been his fifth season in Orchard Park, per Joe Buscaglia.
AUG 29 MARLOWE OUT The Bills are releasing veteran safety Dean Marlowe as of Tuesday morning, the first of many moves on the day's horizon.
Also out: Running back Darrynton Evans, despite his fine final effort and his "crazy story.''
AUG 27 BILLS CUT FIVE MORE The Buffalo Bills announced Sunday that they've cut five more players. Defensive tackle Cortez Broughton, safety Jared Mayden, offensive tackle Garrett McGhin, receiver Dezmon Patmon and linebacker DaShaun White have all come up short of making Buffalo's 53-man roster.
AUG 27 The Bills make their first move of the day and have begun their collection of cuts by waiving receiver Isaiah Coulter, per NFL Network. And they follow it up with the release of tight end Jace Sternberger.
