Bills Dominated by Steelers in Preseason Loss: Play-by-Play, Highlights

Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen and other starters are set to get some action in Saturday's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers are squaring off at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday night in what will be the second of three preseason game for both teams.

The Steelers took down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-17 to begin their preseason on Aug. 11. Meanwhile, the Bills defeated the Indianapolis Colts 23-19 in their first exhibition game last Saturday, as quarterback Matt Barkley helped lead Buffalo to a second-half victory.

But this time around, Bills star Josh Allen and other starters are going to get some action in the second preseason game. The same goes for the Steelers, who will be starting guys like quarterback Kenny Pickett and running back Najee Harris.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said that playing the starters is a necessary step to get them ready for Week 1 against the New York Jets.

"It's to get them ready for the season," McDermott said. "We took a little bit of a different approach last year. This year, we're going back to what we've somewhat done in the years past ... Just trying to do right by the players and getting them ready to go for Week 1."

Back near his hometown of McKees Rocks right outside of Pittsburgh, Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin could also get a chance for more action after making an emotional return to begin the preseason.

"It was super fun," Hamlin said of his first game back. "It was a great experience. Just another milestone and a step up just getting back to myself as far as in the football space and in the NFL."
