NFL Mock Draft: Buffalo Bills Get Josh Allen Some Help?

The Buffalo Bills could target a receiver early in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Buffalo Bills are in need of explosion on offense.

After firing offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey following Monday night's loss against the Denver Broncos, the Bills admit that the offense isn't perfect.

Perhaps another weapon for Josh Allen would help, which is why Pro Football Network projects that Buffalo will take Washington receiver Rome Odunze with the No. 17 overall pick.

"The Buffalo Bills’ lack of playmakers offensively has cost them games and will continue to do so until they actually address the problem," Pro Football Network writes. "Rome Odunze is one of the best players in this class and would be a prime target for Josh Allen. He and Diggs would be a top-tier duo almost right away."

Odunze, 21, is enjoying his second consecutive season of over 1100 yards for the Huskies, who are undefeated through 10 games and eyeing a spot in the College Football Playoff. This season, Odunze has caught 59 passes for 1100 yards and seven touchdowns. He also has a 14-yard rushing touchdown this season.

While it may not be the wisest move to go for a first-round skill player in two consecutive drafts after taking Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid in the 2023 draft, receiver could very well be a need for the Bills in April. Gabe Davis is approaching free agency this offseason, and he will likely find more money outside of Buffalo.

Odunze could immediately fill in for Davis, and could very well be an upgrade for Allen and the Bills offense.
