Bills vs. Browns Weather Delay: Updates on When Preseason Week 2 Game Will Resume

In this story:
The Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns are currently in the midst of a weather delay during the preseason Week 2 game on Saturday.
It started pouring at Huntington Bank Field just two minutes after the game started. It started out as a light rain before the skies opened up.
Not long after that, the referees called for a delay due to lightning strikes in the area, which can be dangerous for everyone on the field and in the stands.
WGRZ's Jonathan Acosta noted that there was also a "loud crack of thunder" before the delay was called.

NFL rules on weather delays
According to the NFL rule book, a delay can occur when a game is "imminently threatened" by the weather.
Weather conditions that can cause a delay include lightning and flooding. In the case of a lightning strike, a game is called if the strike occurs within 10 miles of the stadium.
The rule book also states that "the commissioner has the authority to review the circumstances of each emergency and to adjust the following procedures in whatever manner the commissioner deems appropriate."
Bills-Browns rematch
This is the second time the Bills and Browns have met this week.
The two teams took part in a joint practice on Thursday, which served as the main reps for Bills starters, who are not suiting up during the preseason Week 2 contest.
"(Joint practice) is as regular season as it gets," head coach Joe Brady said of the session.
The Browns, on the other hand, are playing some starters, but the vast majority are not on the field for Cleveland. Most notably, both Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson are playing, with Sanders playing in the first half and Watson getting the second.
We may not see Bills starters for the rest of the preseason, as teams usually opt to sit their ones in the final preseason game.
Bills fans won't mind that at all after the injury issues the team dealt with last season.
