Bills Re-Sign OL Ike Boettger to New Contract

Despite going undrafted out of Iowa in 2018, Ike Boettger has now carved out a solid career for himself in the NFL, as he's set for his sixth season with the Buffalo Bills after inking a new deal on Friday.

The Buffalo Bills have their eyes set on the draft, but made a solid move geared toward securing offensive line depth on Friday by re-signing offensive guard Ike Boettger to a one-year deal, per an announcement from the team.

The deal marks a huge sign of faith that the Bills have in Boettger, as he missed nearly all of last season while recovering from an Achilles tear he suffered late in the 2021 campaign. He made his 2022 season debut in a 35-13 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 16.

"He's a king. I freaking love Ike," Bills quarterback Josh Allen said this past season. "I don't think you can find one guy in the world that has a bad thing to say about Ike. The ultimate, ultimate team guy."

After getting his feet back under him in 2022, Boettger will aim to get back to his 2021 form, a season that saw him register 10 starts in 15 appearances, both career-best marks.

The Bills will now look to address the rest of their o-line through the draft and free agency as the offseason continues.
