The Buffalo Bills are entering the season with little wiggle room if they want to remain contenders.

A point of emphasis needed to improve within the Bills this season is their linebacker corps. Out is Tremaine Edmunds, and in is a combination of unproven commodities.

That's why Bleacher Report suggests that the team should sign former Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Anthony Barr.

"They didn't have many major losses this offseason, but the departure of linebacker Tremaine Edmunds left a hole that still needs to be filled. The Bills are leaning on a young trio of linebackers in Tyrel Dodson, Terrel Bernard and Dorian Williams to replace him," Bleacher Report writes.

"Teams have to be able to develop young players like them to fill holes, but it won't hurt the Bills to add a veteran with an established floor such as Anthony Barr."

Barr, 31, played in 14 games (10 starts) for the Cowboys last season. He recorded 58 tackles for Dallas and proved to be a strong addition to its linebacker unit. Barr's three-game absence was the result of a hamstring injury, but there's no reason to believe that the injury is giving him problems now.

Barr is also the exact type of veteran presence that the Bills need in order to get over the hump in the AFC.

"I’m really just buying all-in," Barr said in December with the Cowboys. "I had to put my ego to the side and just do what is best for the team. ... It's not really about me."

As a former top-10 pick and four-time Pro Bowler, Barr has a decent amount of individual accolades on his resume. Now, he's seeking the elusive Super Bowl ring he doesn't have, which matches the goals for the Bills this season. That's why Barr and the Bills could be a pairing worth exploring.
