The Los Angeles Chargers will be short-handed once again headed into Saturday's meeting with the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium.

After missing Week 15 with injuries, star receiver Keenan Allen (heel) and All-Pro defensive end Joey Bosa (foot) have both been ruled out for the game, the Chargers announced Thursday.

Bosa was on IR and his practice window opened on Thursday, but he's still not ready to come back after being carted off in a 23-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 11. This is good news for Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who won't have to feel the pressure from both Bosa and Khalil Mack.

Bills QB Josh Allen Can Make History vs. Chargers

With Allen out in last week, the Chargers lost 63-21 to the Las Vegas Raiders with Easton Stick at quarterback. Stick found Joshua Palmer four times for 113 yards and a touchdown. He could serve as L.A.'s leading receiver again against a Bills defense that's still dealing with injuries of its own.

This season, Allen (not Josh) has continued to play like one of the league's best receivers despite the Chargers' disappointing season. Despite missing last week, he still leads the league in catches (108) while being fourth in receiving yards (1,243) and tied for sixth in receiving touchdowns (seven).

The Chargers have also been without talented receiver Mike Williams for most of the season after he tore his ACL in Week 3.

The Bills have already made it clear that they won't be overlooking an undermanned Chargers team, but there's no denying that Buffalo has an advantage headed into a game it needs to win to keep playoff hopes alive.
