Denzel Ward Suffers Concussion, Other Injury News Postgame

In this story:
Cleveland Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski addressed the media after Saturday's preseason loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He told reporters that starting cornerback Denzel Ward is in the concussion protocol.
With two full weeks before playing the season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, a concussion normally wouldn't be a huge concern for a player's availability. That is a different story for Ward, who has a history of concussions in his past.
Last season Ward missed significant time in the middle of the season with a concussion. After suffering a concussion during the Chargers game last year, he missed the following two weeks as he remained in the protocol.
In other injury news, Stefanski confirmed that wide receiver Jakeem Grant suffered a serious knee injury. Grant may have played his one and only play with the team in a live game. Stefanski looked distraught while discussing Grant as he expressed his sympathy for him and the work he has put in to get back.
Tony Fields was evaluated for a concussion early in the game and was able to return and Jordan Elliott left the game early with what was described as a hip injury. We will keep you posted on any updates provided by the team.
