Deshaun Watson Absent From Another Day Of Browns Practice

In this story:
The Deshaun Watson saga rolled on Thursday, as the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback missed yet another day of practice due to a "rotator cuff contusion."
In lieu of yet another day spent rehabbing his throwing shoulder, Watson also skipped his weekly media session for a second consecutive day as well.
For the 28-year-old to still not be practicing this late in the week doesn't bode well for his availability for Sunday.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski reiterated on Wednesday that Watson is considered "day-to-day." He also named former XFLer and Carolina Panthers quarterback PJ Walker the teams starter if Watson is in fact unable to play.
Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt, told reporters on Thursday that his understanding is that Watson is making positive progress everyday.
"If Deshaun [Watson] can make it it, that'd be great, Van Pelt added. "If not, PJ will be just fine."
Walker has spent the better part of four years in the NFL, Most recently, Walker appeared in six games for the Carolina Panthers in 2022, throwing for 731 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Friday will mark 20 days since Watson sustained the injury during he Browns 27-3 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 24. Watson seemed to believe he'd be ready to play the following week against division rival Baltimore but he and team erred on the side of caution after a pregame warmup revealed he couldn't throw the ball much beyond 10 yards.
The organization has remained tight lipped on how much progress, if any, Watson has made since he missed the Ravens game.
