Five Injured Prospects Cleveland Browns Could Take a Shot at Drafting

In this story:
When it comes to selecting a player in the NFL Draft, there are many different avenues you need to consider. Specifically, on the players themselves, one background that teams need to do their research on is a player’s health.
What kind of injuries, if any, have they had in their past? How serious were those injuries?
And one of the most important is, are they healthy right now?
With the violent nature of football, it’s natural that some of the top guys are currently battling through wounds. So, which ones could the Browns be targeting?
Jordyn Tyson, Wide Receiver, Arizona State
Tyson has gotten the short end of the stick many times during his collegiate career; he suffered a torn ACL/MCL/PCL at the start of his career, a broken collarbone in 2024, and, most recently, a hamstring injury that kept him out of combine drills.
When Tyson was on the field, his impact was undeniable. He possesses the ability to make something out of nothing with yards after the catch and a huge catch frame.
Jermod McCoy, Cornerback, Tennessee
McCoy is one of the top corners in the draft; his athleticism and production call for him to be a top guy at his position in the future. McCoy missed the entire 2025 season with an ACL tear, though, and the NFL combine.
He returned to action recently at the Tennessee pro day, where he ran a 4.38 40-yard dash, jumped 38” in the vertical jump, and 10’7” in the broad jump.
Connor Lew, Center, Auburn
Lew is the premier center of the group, in a position of potential need for Cleveland.
He missed most of last season with a torn ACL, but also returned to action at the combine, posting 31 reps on the bench press. Lew will bring good quickness and strong hands to neutralize rushers at the next level.
Chris Bell, Wide Receiver, Louisville
Bell was expected to be a first-round pick coming into the 2025 season, and through 11 games, he proved it, putting up 72 receptions for 917 yards and six touchdowns. Bell also suffered a torn ACL, though, in late November, which has kept him out of the combine and Louisville’s pro day.
Bell has already proven that he is a great combination of height, weight, and speed and has the production to show for it.
Drew Allar, Quarterback, Penn State
Talking about guys that possess NFL size, Allar is 6-foot-5, 228 pounds, and is from Medina, Ohio.
He suffered a broken left ankle in October that ended his 2025 season. He returned to action at the combine, showing off his premier arm strength.
