Jim Donovan Set To Return To Browns Radio Booth Against Steelers

In this story:
A legend is back.
In a week where Browns fans were looking for some uplifting news, they got it, as the team announced the team's play-by-play voice of the last 25 years, Jim Donovan is expected back in the booth this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Donovan stepped away from his play-by-play duties after Week 1 of the season to continue treatment for leukemia, with the promise that he'd be back at some time this season. That time is now.
Of course, this isn't Donovan's first bout with cancer. He was first diagnosed with leukemia back in 2000, a year into his role with the Browns. That initial diagnosis was the start of a decade long battle with the disease that culminated in receiving a bone marrow transplant in 2011.
Amazing news!! Jim Donovan is returning to the radio booth for this Sunday's game against Pittsburgh!

Back in the spring however, Donovan shared with the community that the leukemia had unfortunately relapsed, as he was beginning more intensive treatment for the disease. Fortunately, Donovan appears the be ready to return to the booth after two months away – some positive news that comes on the heels of some unfortunate news Wednesday, that Deshaun Watson was set to have season ending surgery.
In Donovan's absence, the Browns relied on a rotating cast of voices to carry the play-by-play duties. That list included Cleveland native Chris Rose of the NFL Network, his colleague and noted Browns fan Andrew Siciliano, the legendary voice of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Paul Keels and most recently, Philadelphia Phillies announcer Tom McCarthy. Now, Donovan returns to reclaim his rightful place as the radio voice of the Cleveland Browns.
