Top 5 Plays of the Cleveland Browns Season

In this story:
With the Cleveland Browns sitting idle this week, why shouldn't fans still get their fill of their favorite team on an NFL Sunday?
At 2-2 on the season, the first four games have been a bit of a mixed bag so far for the Browns, particularly on offense. Between Deshaun Watson's struggles and a season-ending injury to Nick Chubb, that side of the ball still seems to be figuring out its identity. However, there have been some notable flashes.
The defense on the other hand has been absolutely dominant, producing some of the top moments of the season, already.
Here are the top five plays of the 2023 Browns Season to date.
5) Myles Garrett shadowed by 2 Titans tight ends
So technically this isn't a true "play" since the sequence unfolds pre snap. That said, this was objectively one of the funniest things that's ever played out on a football field, let alone the Browns season. The fact that Garrett is so dangerous that the Titans assigned two tight ends to shadow him wherever he lined up, and that Garrett used it to his advantage to force a delay of game is hands down one of the best moments fans will see all year.
You guys ever seen a defensive player motion back and fourth pre snap and TWO offensive players follow him!?! 😂😂 … caused a delay of game! @Flash_Garrett is DIFFERENT! pic.twitter.com/TZhGYAUlts

4) Deshaun Watson 13-yard touchdown run, for first score of the season
Watson's Week One performance was a roller coaster ride. He was only 16-29 passing for 154 yards, one touchdown and one interception. But, with the pass game struggling, head coach Kevin Stefanski tapped into one of Watson's greatest strengths – his mobility – to start pulling away from the Bengals. In what, at the time, was a slog of a game, Watson's rushing score brought some much needed life into the stadium and set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.

3) Grant Delpit Interception vs. Steelers
Despite how dominant the defense has been so far this season, the Browns have one of the worst turnover differentials in the NFL at -7, having forced just three turnovers so far in 2023. One of those three is Delpit's Week Two interception against the Steelers. While this particular takeaway ended in a missed field goal, Delpit deserves the love here not only for making a tremendous read on this play, but also because he's been a star in the back end of the defense this season.

2) Myles Garrett Sacks Joe Burrow on fourth down
There are contingents of fans who love to ask on social media "where is Myles Garrett?" during key, late game situations. This sack from Week One should serve as a reminder of how silly that criticism is, as Garrett eluded a double team to get to Joe Burrow on fourth down, in the fourth quarter. There may have been more than 10 minutes left in the game, but that sack slammed the door for a Cleveland victory.

1) Deshaun Watson 43-yard TD pass to Amari Cooper vs. Titans
This wasn't the most difficult throw in the world, obviously. That said, this big touchdown throw to Cooper was the cherry on top of what was undoubtedly Watson's best outing as a Cleveland Brown. It was the exact type of performance fans needed from their quarterback, after doubt was really creeping in following two consecutive rough starts out of the gate. Now the question is, can Watson make these performances a consistent thing once he returns to the field?
