This is an absolutely devastating injury for his career after suffering a season ending ruptured achilles just over a year ago. This injury is also one that will probably scar the entire organization for years to come. To watch a player work so hard and go through months of rehab so that he could come back for one play. Then the result of the one play ultimately ends up leaving that player faced with the same predicament again.
Professional football can be a brutal game and that fact has never been more apparent after watching yesterday live and hearing today's news. Unfortunately, suffering these two injuries in consecutive years will likely mean the end of his playing career.
As a player that the entire organization seemed to love, I am certain the Browns will go to great lengths to provide resources for Grant during this time. For Grant, things will now most certainly be about quality of life after football.
