Bucs Gameday

Bucs Finally Have a Huge Advantage Against Falcons Nobody is Talking About

It's funny to think about, but it's true.

In this story:

Tampa Bay has always been a hot spot for transplants from up north. With that, those people have brought their fandom for other teams to the community that boasts three professional sports teams of their own.

That has been obvious for years whenever you tune into Tampa Bay Buccaneers home games.

While plenty of Bucs fans make up the crowd, over the years, there has consistently been a large contingent of opposing fans in the stands.

It's becoming an issue that has brought frustration amongst Tampa Bay fans, and that couldn't have been clearer than when the Pittsburgh Steelers fans practically took over Raymond James Stadium.

However, in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Bucs will likely have an advantage in the stands.

Bucs Likely to Finally Have Homefield Advantage

Despite Atlanta being relatively close to Tampa compared to numerous other organizations, their fanbase is not known to travel well, and those Atlanta natives don't make up a large portion of those who have moved to the area or visit during the cooler months of the year.

It should align with the Bucs having their most fans in the stadium this season. That is big for a team that can live and die by momentum.

Fans and crowd noise can carry a team to victory, and the Buccaneers will be hopeful that their fans bring it on Sunday as they search to start 2-0 in the division and continue their midseason turnaround.

It's the most important game up to this point in the season. With the Panthers losing to the Packers on Thursday night, the Bucs could find themselves right at the top of the division if they beat the Falcons on Sunday.

With a win, the Bucs, Falcons, and Panthers would all have three wins on the season, but the Bucs would be 2-0 in the division. There is nothing quite like the NFC South.

There is a ton on the line this week, so the fans must bring the atmosphere to help the players on the field continue their recent surge of great play at every level.
