Former Arizona Cardinals DE J.J. Watt would be gearing up for next week's mandatory minicamp, had his playing days continued.

Yet Watt has been enjoying the fruits of his playing days with the smooth life of retirement, showing off some outrageous views on some of the golf courses he's played while balancing newfound business opportunities (he and his wife bought a stake in Premier League club Burnley) and the life of a brand new father.

Plenty of people have sought Watt's opinions on the internet - football related or not. Perhaps that's why many wanted him to start a podcast, which gained enough traction to where he asked 5.6 million Twitter followers if that would be something of interest.

He's typically given those opinions too, and that didn't stop short of the notorious story of Baby Gronk.

A very long story short: Madden San Miguel (aka Baby Gronk) is a 10-year-old football player who has grabbed the attention of college football programs and is currently on a recruiting trip across the country, though he's not even close to high school.

The Athletic recently did a deep dive into the mini football sensation and interviewed his father, who has essentially guided his son down this path in ways some would find unappealing.

“I’ve had a plan for my son since before he was born" and "He has been trained and programmed since he was 6 years old" are just some of the sentences his father has said.

This - obviously - has stirred quite the pot on social media, and Watt gave his opinion:

I’ve always said… Kids should play multiple sports and kids should be allowed to be kids. I’m not against advanced leagues, better competition, etc.," said Watt.

"But no kid should be playing one sport all year & no kid should be training “like a pro” until at least HS. They’re kids."
