Cardinals Give Update on James Conner

In this story:
ARIZONA -- Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner was out of action in the first half of the team's 34-20 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals due to a knee injury, one that prevented him from coming back.
Jonathan Gannon told reporters after the game he was feeling alright.
"He's feeling okay. I think when he went on that long run [he] might've got his foot stuck in the ground there and twisted his knee up, so we'll see tomorrow," Gannon said postgame.

Conner left in the middle of the second quarter and was spotted heading into the blue medical tent with team staff. He briefly stayed until quickly jogging to the locker room unassisted.
The Cardinals initially deemed him questionable to return with a knee injury, though he never returned. He finished the day with 46 yards on six carries.
Emari Demercado took over RB1 duties and finished with 45 yards on ten carries, which included his first career touchdown.
"I actually thought Emari came in and played well - had a couple runs in there. Obviously when you lose one of your best players that hurts, but we got to carry the load for him. I thought Emari did did a good job," said Gannon.
Gannon was also asked about Damien Williams, who was added to the practice squad earlier this week but wasn't called up.
"We'll see. We'll see. Everyone in the building's an option,"
Arizona now drops to 1-4 on the season. They're on the road against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6.
