NFL GM Compares Marvin Harrison Jr. to Cardinals Legend

The Arizona Cardinals could get Larry Fitzgerald 2.0 according to one NFL GM.

ARIZONA -- There's been plenty of talk about what the Arizona Cardinals will and won't do with the No. 4 pick in this year's draft, though there's one clear target fans are pounding the table for in Marvin Harrison Jr..

Harrison - the son of Hall of Fame WR Marvin Harrison Sr. - has drawn many comparisons as the 2024 NFL Draft nears, though one NFL GM believes he resembles Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald:

"I had a GM tell me in Orlando that Marvin Harrison Jr. was Larry Fitzgerald 2.0. Pedigree. He's a pro. Malik Nabers might be Ja'Marr Chase, maybe a higher upside. But I think the ceiling - I should say the floor for Harrison is so high that you know exactly what you're getting," said NFL insider Jordan Schultz on The Herd.

Fitzgerald himself went on record earlier this offseason and said he'd love for the organization to draft Harrison.

“If he's there, I hope we get him. Kyler (Murray) would love to throw it to him. I saw him working out at Ohio State some years back. I’m a big fan of his father (Hall of Famer receiver Marvin Harrison), and from everything I’ve heard, he’s just a good hard working young man. You can never have enough high character, outstanding talented football players because those guys that are the pillars of your foundation," Fitzgerald told 12 News' Cam Cox.

“He’s a heck of a lot more talented than I was at that age,” Fitzgerald continued.

“He can take short passes and go long. He can go over the top. He's a willing participant like in terms of blocking in the run game. I wasn't a willing participant until like 2013 later in my career. I did it begrudgingly, but he does it already in college and he does it does it really well. So if he's there, I definitely would love to see him in Cardinal red.”

Arizona has done plenty of work on wideouts as the draft nears just two weeks away - we'll see what GM Monti Ossenfort deems best for the organization when the dust settles.
