Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker is among the most respected players to not only play the safety position, but also the entire league as a whole.

Baker has managed to climb the ranks as a player since being taken in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft on some not-so-great teams, playing with intensity and passion that was one of few bright spots in the desert last season.

Still 27-years-old, Baker hopefully has a long road of top-level football ahead of him, one that could potentially feature him taking a stroll into the coveted Pro Football Hall of Fame after he officially calls it quits.

In Sports Illustrated's recent predictions highlighting one player from each team who could make the HOF, Baker was the obvious choice in Arizona:

Matt Verderame: "Baker is the only answer for the Cardinals. Kyler Murray hasn’t done nearly enough early in his career to be on a Hall of Fame trajectory, and the rest of the roster is underwhelming. Baker, 27, is already a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro. He’s a good bet with a few more excellent seasons."

Former Cardinals DL Calais Campbell also cracked the list:

"Campbell is a fascinating case. The 36-year-old is a three-time All-Pro and member of the Hall of Fame’s 2010s All-Decade Team. However, most defensive linemen who get into Canton have enormous sack figures, and Campbell has 99 for his career, with only two double-digit campaigns. He’ll be a worthy candidate."

As for currently retired players, names such as Larry Fitzgerald and J.J. Watt are locks whenever they finally become eligible.
