Notable Numbers From Cardinals' Upset Win Over Cowboys

In this story:
The Arizona Cardinals pulled off a 28-16 upset over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, shocking majority of the NFL world after a winless team never trailed against who many believe to be a Super Bowl contender.
Though Trevon Diggs was absent from Dallas' secondary, the Cowboys still were heavy favorites to emerge to 3-0 in a State Farm Stadium that was filled with their own fans.
Flying high on both sides of the ball, it was the Cardinals who soared when it mattered most and got the win in Week 3 - here's some numbers that tell the story.
7.4 Yards Per Carry
The Cardinals did a great job controlling the game on the ground, even against a front seven that features names such as DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons. There were three ball-carries who averaged an impressive amount of YPC in Rondale Moore (18), Josh Dobbs (9.2) and James Conner (7).
Conner was two yards short of reaching the 100-yard milestone for a second straight week and though the Cardinals lost the battle of possession, they were still able to control the game.
2 Sacks Allowed
Two sacks allowed is still two too many, though to limit such a talented front seven to just two was a small win considering they averaged five per contest heading into Week 3.
That's a testament to the offensive line and how well they've gelled.
0 Turnovers
For the Cardinals to have any chance of winning, turning the ball over was a major no-no. Arizona now hasn't turned the ball over in consecutive games, and that's been a major part in their ability to remain competitive.
Especially against a team as talented as Dallas - giving their offense any extra opportunities typically spells trouble. Arizona did a good job of ensuring they didn't beat themselves.
9.9 Yards Per Attempt
Oh how far we've come since Week 1 where Josh Dobbs averaged a mere 4.4 yards per attempt.
Dobbs is now far more comfortable in this offense and familiar with his weapons, and the stats show. The Cardinals - though they're not exactly airing it out like the Miami Dolphins - took a handful of deep shots and kept Dallas on their toes defensively.
5 Scores on First 5 Possessions
There's been plenty of talk about the Cardinals starting better offensively after getting off to slow starts in the first two weeks of the season. That came to fruition against Dallas, where they totaled two touchdowns and three field goals for 21 points before heading into the break.
That lead put Dallas into a hole they eventually couldn't overcome and allowed Arizona to manage the game their own way down the stretch until the clock hit zero.
