Cardinals Reportedly Met With Draft TE

South Carolina TE Trey Knox met virtually with the Arizona Cardinals, according to The Draft Network.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals reportedly met with South Carolina TE Trey Knox virtually, according to his interview with The Draft Network:

"I’ve had several virtual meetings. I’ve probably met with upwards of eight or nine teams. I recently met with the Texans and Bengals in person the day before Pro Day. I met with the Cardinals, Broncos, Vikings, and Chargers on Zoom, to name a few more," he told Justin Melo.

Knox is the first known tight end meeting for the Cardinals in the draft process, as Arizona has also reportedly met or plan to meet with the following prospects:

USC WR Brenden Rice, Texas Tech CB Rayshad Williams, Auburn CB Nehemiah Pritchett, Washington RB Dillon Johnson, Texas WR Xavier Worthy, Arizona WR Jacob Cowing, NC State OL Dylan McMahon, Louisville CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr., Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Northern Iowa DT Khristian Boyd, Georgia WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Washington WR Rome Odunze and LSU WR Malik Nabers

The Cardinals are currently in search of a second tight end behind budding star Trey McBride, and Knox is a projected Day 3 pick.

"Knox has pass-catching measurables and the willingness to block as an in-line tight end. He's a receiver-turned-tight-end-prospect with an expansive wingspan. He's better at getting into the route and separating than he is at making tough catches. While he saw plenty of schemed opportunities and short catches, it appeared he was able to create his own chances over the first two levels. Knox possesses credible run-blocking talent in-line or on the move but will need to get bigger and stronger for the pro game.
