Tonight is the night, Charger fans. The final preseason game, and after today, we're only 15 days till the start of the regular season.

The fringe guys will showcase they belong on the final roster, and by Tuesday, we'll know who will be on the 53-man roster. Players will be able to show what they got for the final time tonight against the San Francisco 49ers.

Like the Chargers, the 49ers have immense expectations in a much less competitive NFC, at least going into the 2023 season; nonetheless, they are expected to be a top team in the league.

However, unlike the 49ers, the Bolts never questioned who their quarterback will be. It was the talk of the summer for the Niners, but now we know 2022 Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy will be their QB1, followed by 2018 number three overall pick, Sam Darnold, and QB3 will be their former top pick, Trey Lance.

Usually, starters don't play in the preseason, and because of this, 49ers head coach Kyle Shannon announced Lance will be the starter against your Bolts.

"I mean, this isn't a thing that we're giving up on Trey," Shanahan told KNBR,

. "This is more of how Brock (Purdy) played in his seven games. ... They both looked good, but we do have to make a decision here and you only get so many reps at it, and we feel, starting about 10 days ago, that Sam really separated himself. We got to keep it real in that way."

The Chargers will get their second look at Lance, all in the preseason. He hasn't had the smoothest of rides in his short NFL career, and things don't seem to be getting any better.

Still, that doesn't matter to the Chargers, as they'll look to take advantage of the Niners QB carousel.

There will be plenty to look forward to in tonight's matchup, but most importantly, we wish for health for both teams and they come out unscathed.

Kick-off is at 7 PM Pacific time at Levi's Stadium.
