In this story:

The Los Angeles Chargers have finally reached the point of no return, as the team was embarrassed in primetime last night by the Las Vegas Raiders. The final score of 63-21 painted a picture that many analysts and reports knew: it was time to clean house.

That is exactly what occurred this morning, as it was announced that head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco were relieved of their duties within the organization. These moves were a long time coming, and Dean Spanos had enough of seeing his team this way.

Firing Staley and Telesco was the first step of many for the organization to reclaim its prominence in the AFC. Though we assumed this wouldn't be the only move made, the Chargers have also officially fired Defensive Run Game Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach Jay Rodgers.

Jay Rodgers now joins Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco as those who need to answer for their subpar performances. Rodgers' unit has surrendered around 113.9 rushing yards per game, placing them #15 in the league. The passing yards per game, are even worse, which is currently good for #4 worst in the league at 261.4 YPG.

Despite having Khalil Mack on the team, who leads the league with 15 sacks, there is little else to behold on the defensive front.

The Chargers have not yet named an interim coach, but we expect to hear who will be taking over as the DL coach soon.
