Chargers News: Derwin James Eagerly Awaits Showdown with Dolphins Offense

In this story:
As we get closer to the start of the new NFL season, we have some entertaining matchups on the schedule to open the year. One of which comes from your Los Angeles Chargers as they get ready to face off against the Miami Dolphins.
This should be a fun game between two playoff teams from last season. Sofi Stadium will be rocking, and it will be a good test for the Bolts to open the year.
If they can get the victory over the Dolphins, it could help set them up seeding-wise down the line. Even in week one, each game matters, especially against a team you could be fighting against in the season's final weeks for a spot in the playoffs.
Safety Derwin James recently gave his thoughts on the matchup with Miami, and he seems ready to take on the challenge of containing their high-powered offense.
"I enjoy playing everyday of football and like you say when is it makes it that much special when you're going against the best and you know you consider yourself the best"

The Bolts defense needs to be ready for anything in this game. Miami loves to use different offensive schemes to maximize their opportunities and use their wide receivers' speed.
Defending Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle will be a challenge for the Chargers, but things should be okay if they can contain them a little bit. Luckily for the team, the Chargers offense is pretty high-powered in their own right.
James is one of the leaders on defense for Los Angeles, and he just wants to go out there and compete against whoever they are playing.
"Just being able to compete and I feel like there is no better feeling"
Per The Los Angeles Chargers YouTube Channel
We should be in for a shootout-style game to open the season. Fireworks will be going off in Los Angeles, and there isn't any better way to kick off the new year.
