J.C. Jackson has been on a mission all offseason to ensure that he is healthy and ready to roll once the Los Angeles Chargers kick off their 2023 campaign. He has unfinished business ever since signing with the team prior to last season as he only suited up in five games due to a ruptured patellar tendon.

Even in the matches that he did play, he really wasn't able to find a rhythm yet. However, we've all seen the videos... he's been in the weight room getting that knee stronger than ever and he's looking to have a year similar to 2020 where he was able to record nine interceptions with 40 combined tackles.

Jackson himself has come out and revealed that he is aiming for a week one debut and seeing just how significant that injury was, it would go a long way for the Bolts.

Matt 'Money' Smith and Chris Hayre hopped on another episode of the 'Chargers Weekly' podcast and shared their own excitement to potentially see Jackson back on the active lineup in LA's first game against the Dolphins.

Smith believes that he will be ultra-important off the rip.

"They're gonna need him, they're gonna need that big body," said Smith. "It's a physical matchup to step opposite of Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill... pick one and get after it."

Hayre then added on and spoke as to why Jackson will be important in the couple of weeks following the season opener.

"If you can add a healthy J.C. Jackson to the mix," said Hayre. "And he can be the guy that you signed him to be, now we're talking about a completely different defense. To have it week three against Justin Jefferson, week four against Davante Adams, to be able to just put that guy there, huge advantage."

The league will definitely be put on watch if J.C. is ready to roll.
