Chargers News: Giff Smith Singles Out "Natural Leadership" Of This Veteran Bolt

In this story:
The new interim head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, Giff Smith, is already praising the leadership capabilities of one veteran player.
It's not at all surprising that he has called out Khalil Mack, who has been one of the glaring bright spots in this otherwise disappointing team. Mack currently has 15 sacks on the season and has been one of the most outspoken about the team's struggles.

Smith was speaking about Mack being 32 years old but still being massively dominant. Smith exclaims that Mack is a "natural leader" and "warrior."
Though we are unsure if Smith will be getting another crack at being the head coach next season, the Chargers are likely to interview him depending on how well he performs in the role during these final three games.
Mack spoke earlier in the season about how he contemplated retirement after last season. However, he spoke to his wife and she told him that there is no reason for him to step away just yet.
Mack might have a different outlook with this season wrapping up. The hope is that he will stay on the field for an additional year now that Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco are out.
This team needs a lot of help and Mack might be one of the people who can recruit players over the Chargers side when FA starts. The NFL world knows how valuable he is, and the hope is that he is not giving up on winning a championship just yet.
