Kellen Moore certainly finds himself in quite the ideal position for an offensive coordinator in the NFL heading into the 2023 season. Coming off of multiple years with the Dallas Cowboys and an ever-changing group of offensive weapons, he is now joining a Chargers squad that has their main core set.

Sitting on the throne above all else will be a fully-healthy Justin Herbert and his top WR targets will be Mike Williams and Keenan Allen with a young, speedy option LA just brought in with Quentin Johnston. I'm assuming that Austin Ekeler will be back in powder blue and there are few RB's you'd rather have than him and the OL is looking deep as well.

Moore's biggest challenge here is going to introducing a variety of play-calling within this squad. They have been used to the stagnant leadership from Tom Lombardi but all will be different now.

All eyes are on Herbert to have a huge season and lead LA to the promised land after a very disappointing wild card round in 2022. His connection will Moore will be ultra-important and experts from Last Word on Sports believe that a MVP-level campaign could be on the way for the 25-year-old.

However, they've also taken it a step further and proposed that maybe we'll see a head coach promotion for Moore as well in the process.

"He was essential in the development of Dak Prescott working under Jason Garrett and Mike McCarthy. The 34-year-old coach has had his name mentioned frequently in possible head coaching jobs as well. An MVP-like season from Herbert could push Moore to the front of the line for a head coach position."

This would truly be something to see. Moore has built himself quite the resume as strictly a coach on offense but having a whole team under his command would be hard to turn down if it seriously came up.
