The Los Angeles Chargers really only have their eyes set on one accomplishment in the upcoming 2023 and that is undoubtedly a Super Bowl. They already finally got back to the playoffs last season and we all saw how that went so that expectations will be much higher this year.

Justin Herbert is set to get paid like a top QB in the league but he is only missing postseason success from his resume. Brandon Staley will also be looking to prove that he can coach this team to greatness or else his job could be on the hot seat. So LA has a lot riding on their outcome this season.

And the defensive side of the ball will be ultra-important, probably more than ever. The Kansas City Chiefs are in top form right now coming off of yet another championship and are still the favorites in the AFC West to take the division. Your Bolts will have to look to shut them down every time they play and it all starts with Joey Bosa.

Bosa has been one of the more interesting players for the Chargers since he began his career with them back in 2016. His talent and commitment to the franchise has never been of question and along with Khalil Mack, LA has some elite difference-makers on their side.

However, injuries limited him to just five games last season for a total of 10 combined tackles. He was not around when LA collapsed against Jacksonville in the Wild Card and Bosa has made it clear that he's ready for a big return in 2023.

And the 27-year-old LB is already being slated as a dark horse candidate to take home the Defensive Player of the Year.

"But in addition to suffering through the worst season of his career last year, Bosa also watched younger brother Nick win Defensive Player of the Year. Now, with Bosa healthy again and a former Defensive Player of the Year playing opposite him in Khalil Mack, it's Joey's turn to post a career year, top 15 sacks and win a Defensive Player of the Year trophy all his own."

This would be quite the accomplishment for Bosa, let's see how his promises play out.
