As offseason training camps are approaching, PFF has decided to name the top three players on the Chargers heading into this season.

In a tweet from the official PFF Twitter account, Trevor Sikkema named Derwin James, Joey Bosa and Justin Herbert as the top players on the Chargers for 2023.

All three of these players had strong 2022 seasons that will hopefully translate to the 2023 season.

Justin Herbert is looking to keep his name amongst the best quarterbacks in league.

Herbert had a dominant 2022 season where he threw for the second most yards in the league with 4739. He accomplished that while playing most of the season with broken ribs.

Now that he is healed up for the season, the sky's the limit for the Chargers young quarterback.

Although Bosa only played five games last season thanks to a groin injury, the defensive end keep this name as one of the three best players on the Chargers for the impact he's made in previous seasons.

The 2017 Defensive Rookie of the Year is looking to return to his dominant self where he was getting on average 10 sacks a season.

Bosa comes into the season looking to prove that he is still one of the best edge rushers in the league.

Despite not playing in three games due to injury, Derwin James continued his hot start to his career by setting a career high in assisted tackles with 51.

So far in his first three full seasons in the league, James has recorded over 100 tackles per season, has never allowed quarterbacks to complete more than 70% of passes targeted his way and has only allowed seven passing touchdowns.

James will look to continue the momentum going into the 2023 season and keep his spot as one of the three best players on the team.

Now that these three have been named the best on the Chargers, will these players on top of the list be there again at this time next year?
