Entering their bye week, your Los Angeles Chargers are lucky to hold a 2-2 record on the new season. The team barely escaped their last two games with wins, and now they face a tough path going forward.

Right after the bye week, the team is scheduled to face the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs in consecutive weeks, and these games could make or break their year. The Bolts can’t afford any more slip-ups, especially being in the tough AFC Conference.

After the two tough games, the Bolts get two games that should result in victories, but as we have seen, nothing is guaranteed with this team. They will take on the Chicago Bears at home, and then head to New York for a date with the Jets.

Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire takes a look at the next few games for the Bolts, and predicts how each will go. Borquez sees the Chargers getting the win against New York, but it won’t come easy.

"Before the start of the season, this primetime showdown was tabbed as must-see television as the world was expecting Herbert versus Aaron Rodgers. Unfortunately, Rodgers is out for the rest of the season. Like the Bears, the Jets may have found their stride, considering they just went toe-to-toe with the Chiefs last Sunday and Zach Wilson looked the best he has in his career. Defensively, New York is similar to the Chargers in the way that they struggle against explosive plays. However, they differ because the Jets’ second-half defense is one of the best in the league, while Los Angeles is near the bottom in that category. This very well could be a trap game, but when Herbert is playing under the lights, good things are bound to happen.”

Per Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire

This game presents itself as a tough one for the Bolts because the Jets defense will cause some issues. Also, with it being on the road, that could cause some problems as well.

The Jets game is an interesting one because the New York defense is a problem. They showed out against the Kansas City Chiefs recently, and quarterback Zach Wilson didn’t look too bad either. The Bolts won’t be able to overlook him, and they will need to come into this game prepared.

LA needs to come out of the gates strong moving forward to salvage their season. They entered the year with title hopes, and still have them, but they have made things much tougher for them with their poor start.
