Chargers News: Writer Warns LA To Be Wary Of Key Dallas Weapon
Your Los Angeles Chargers come off their bye week and will be matched up with the Dallas Cowboys during a borderline do-or-die Monday Night Football matchup. This will be a good test for the Bolts, and a game to see if they made any changes burning the bye.
Dallas has a good offense, but they are led by one player in particular. Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire listed one player who could completely wreck the game for the Chargers. That would be wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and he is a game changer.
“The Cowboys’ passing offense has sputtered and a big reason why is Lamb’s lack of usage. Lamb has been held under 55 yards in the last three games simply because he has not been thrown the ball. Through five games, he’s tallied 27 receptions on 35 targets for 358 yards and one touchdown. Nonetheless, Lamb is still an explosive playmaker. He tied for the eighth in the NFL in receiving plays (eight) of 20 yards or more. For a Chargers defense that has struggled to prevent explosive passing plays, Lamb could present a problem.”

Lamb can totally change the outcome of this game if he gets into a rhythm. He has complained about his lack of touches in recent weeks, and they may look to feed him this week against this Chargers secondary.
The secondary could be getting a boost this week with safety Derwin James returning to practice this week and getting him back would be massive. His ability to read the field from all angles could help limit Lamb on different plays.
The Cowboys will likely try to move Lamb around to confuse the defense, so the Chargers will need to be ready for anything.
One aspect that could go the Chargers way is that they have former Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore on their side now. He will likely help the defense scheme against this team, and it could end up being a game-changer. Moore knows this Dallas team very well, and his insight could be valuable to getting the win.
The Chargers can’t afford to drop many more games early in the season, especially being in the loaded AFC Conference. This is a game that they really need to have, but it won’t come easy for them.
