Chargers News: Brandon Staley Inspires Confidence for Upcoming Week 8 Matchup

In this story:
Your Los Angeles Chargers dropped another game this past weekend, this time to division rival Kansas City. They have lost two in a row since their bye week, and it seems that the team may be spiraling out of control a little bit.
Right now, the Chargers sit with a record of 2-4, and it hasn’t been pretty. In their two wins, they narrowly escaped things, otherwise, it could be much worse than it currently is.
The Bolts need to start putting together wins soon, and they have the perfect chance to do just that this week when they welcome in the lowly Chicago Bears. But they can’t overlook Chicago, and LA needs to put together a strong game plan to get the victory.
Head coach Brandon Staley spoke about the confidence that he still has in his team.
"Again, the way the season started it hasn't been what I think many would have envisioned on our team, but it doesn't take away from the belief that we have in us making it happen," Staley added. "I think those are here on a day-to-day basis understand that better than those who aren't. That's why I think us just getting on the practice field Wednesday, fresh and focused, that we'll be able to put a good practice week ready for Chicago."

The season is starting to slip away from the Bolts, and if they don’t act quickly, it will be another wasted year. The Chargers have underperformed heavily since Staley took over as the head coach, and things have seemed to get worse.
He entered the season on the hot seat, and it has only gotten warmed as the weeks go by. If things don’t change soon, Staley will likely be out of a job. He has had opportunities to redeem himself but hasn’t been able to capitalize on things yet.
"The people that are on our team understand the quality it takes in the NFL, when you have it, when you don't," Staley said. "Most people who have been in an NFL locker room understand that, and so we know the quality that we have and we've seen it in spurts.”

The spurts that Staley is talking about haven't been enough to stop this team from looking lost on the field at times. If things don't improve, big changes are likely coming to this franchise.
