Despite all of the issues that the team has seen, Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley wants his guys to stay the course to finish the year strong. LA dropped their season record to 4-7 on the year after losing to the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend.

“It means a lot to these guys and I feel like our guys know the quality that we have and we just have to hang tough. It’s not the popular answer, but it’s the right answer,” Staley said. “We’ve got to hang tough, we’ve got to keep working at our game in all three phases. And if we do that, then you’re going to see good football from this team.”

LA has some work to do if they want to turn things around. They have some favorable matchups coming up for them on the schedule, and they will need to take advantage.

The Chargers have dug themselves into a big hole, but there is still time to climb out of it. They will need some help along the way, but they can only control what they can control right now.

“We need to keep working on all three phases in order to close these games out as a team. It’s not going to be one phase to win it. We’ve got to make sure that when it gets tight, that we come alive and make the winning plays. That’s going to be where our focus is.”

Staley knows that his job is on the line if the team can't right the ship. He has been on the hot seat for some time now, and if the team doesn't start winning soon, changes will be made shortly after the year is over.
