Chargers News: Khalil Mack Shades Brandon Staley When Discussing Blowout Loss

In this story:
After the Los Angeles Chargers' embarrassing loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night, everyone knew that head coach Brandon Staley's job was very much in question. He entered the season on the hot seat, and it got warmed each week.
Well, on Friday morning, the team finally pulled the plug. Both Staley and general manager Tom Telesco were let go by the organization, ending the reign of terror.
Defensive edge rusher Khalil Mack took slightly shaded former head coach Brandon Staley following the team's loss to the Raiders.
"This s--- starts within yourself," Mack said. "And if you don't feel this today and if this don't piss you off, I don't know what will. No coach can tell you in these moments anything besides knowing that your name is on this s---. It should have you up at night."

Mack was rightfully frustrated after an embarrassing loss on primetime. He knows that this season has been a waste, and he is angry about it.
The veteran has put up a very solid season this year, so he likely feels like he wasted a good year, as well. It's been a tough season for the entire team, but one that they are looking to put behind them going forward.
Even offensive lineman Rashawn Slater gave his thoughts on the ugly loss. Like Mack, he was angry at the result that played out.
"We just got our ass kicked. That's all that happened," Slater said. "This is the f---ing NFL. People get hurt. S--- happens. We got to finish. We got to play better than that. That's really all there is to it. I take full ownership of my performance. It was terrible. There's no excuses. No feeling sorry."

With Staley now out, the team should be undergoing a new look next season. This team has been looking for a change or a spark for some time now, and hopefully, this move is what gets everything moving in the right direction.
